1. Strawberry Picking

Strawberries are one of the first crops to pop up in autumn, and each year, the Granite Belt Strawberry Festival showcases the region’s best strawberries. It’s a great opportunity to pick your own strawberries and then enjoy them straight away, or pop them in a container and take them home to preserve to enjoy later in the year.  One things for sure, the kids will think it is totally Strawesome! 

2. Granite Belt Christmas Farm

The Granite Belt Christmas Farm is a fabulous attraction for kids of all ages, and one that will ensure the ‘Christmas Spirit’ is all alive and well all year round.

Girraween National Park is one park not to miss.  Known for the ‘Balancing Rock’ which sits spectacularly atop a summit it is definitely a must see when in the region.  There are also a number of spots where you can visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon to see koalas, kangaroos and even wallabies.

4. Explore the Storm King Dam

If you’re visiting the Granite Belt and looking for a fun activity to do with the family, then you may want to visit the Storm King Dam. The dam is an ideal spot for picnics, bird watching, water sport and fishing. There are also a number of walking tracks around the northern and southern shore of the dam.
